Selbach-oster Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Grosses Gewachs is a white wine made by Johannes Selbach with the Riesling variety from his Zeltinger Sonnenuhr vineyard on the German Moselle. It is becoming more and more common for the great producers of the Moselle to release their best dry wines on the market under the quality label of the Grosses Gewachse. And Johannes Selbach was not going to be less. RP95 The 2020 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr GG offers an intense and rich yet delicate, pure and fresh, finely minty bouquet of crushed slate and ripe yellow stone fruits. Full-bodied and lush on the palate, this is a rich and generous, tight and mineral-structured yet elegant and very complex Riesling from vines about 60 years old. The finish is fresh and refined but long. This is a superb 2020 and Selbach's finest dry wine of the vintage.
