Cambrugiano Riserva 2019

Cambrugiano Riserva is a white wine made from the Verdicchio variety in the Matelica region of Italy. It is the symbol of Cantine Belisario, the most awarded wine, the one that has given them prestige. A wine that was produced for the first time in 1988, which is harvested by hand and vinified with a low-temperature maceration, leaving it to mature after fermentation for a year on its lees and later refined in the bottle. It is a fatty wine that shows its aging and its evolution with the fine acidity typical of Verdicchio from good soils. Ideal with fish, white meats, not very mature cheeses and, in short, a hedonistic wine that is usually obtained by the Tres Bicchieri of Gambero Rosso.

Cantine Belisario is a winery founded in 1971 with a social origin in the commune of Matelica in Italy. Today they work 100 hectares in property and another 200 with long-term contracts with up to 150 partners of the winery. It so happens that the winery is proud to say that all the vineyards are less than ten minutes from the place where the wine is made. The Alta Valle Esina, where Matelica is located, faces the Adriatic and is east of Rome. It is a pioneer winery in certification and in 2002 they began with the organic conversion of the vineyard, which today reaches 24 hectares.

The Alta Valle Esina enjoys a continental climate in terms of the range of temperatures throughout the year, but with a Mediterranean influence in terms of the number of hours of sunshine. It is an ideal setting for growing Verdicchio, which is bottled here under the Verdicchio di Matelica appellation of origin.
