Guerila Rebula Selection is a white wine made by Zmagoslav Petric in the Vipavska Dolina Valley, in Slovenia, following biodynamic precepts.The Rebula variety is a variety native to Friuli, where it is known as Ribolla Gialla. There are documents of this variety that attest to its existence as early as 1296. Very common also in Slovenia, it is a variety very prone to genetic diversity. It is the most widely planted variety in the Vipavska Dolina valley, where there are more than 300 hectares, including the En Pila vineyard, where Zmagoslav Petric cultivates it biodynamically in the Pri Pila and Preske vineyards. He selects the bunches in the vineyard, destems and macerates for a week, gently presses and allows the must to decant. Native yeasts and spontaneous fermentation. The wine spends a year in traditional bota grand, is bottled without filtering and with minimal sulfur. It is a golden wine with extract. On the nose there are dried flowers, spices, nuts and honey. It has body and is very mineral.Guerila is the personal project of Zmagoslav Petric, the son of farmers who at the age of fifty decides to return to farming because, as he says, you can separate a man from his land, but you can never take the land from his heart. . So, in 2005, he searched for the most suitable farms to grow the native varieties in the Vipava Valley, and turned to biodynamics to produce some of the most energetic wines in Slovenia. Small productions, wines with great personality but at the same time very easy to drink and that, in addition, are very digestive."
