Description
La Bota 114 by Florpower MMXXI is a still white wine made by Equipo Navazos in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Andalusia. Coming from 100% palomino fino grapes from Sanlúcar vineyards with vines between 55 and 85 years old located in Pago Miraflores La Baja, again in this 2021 vintage the wine fermented in the old style, in the same barrels in which it was later fermented. raised under a veil After fermentation, it was aged under flower yeasts for seven months. In June 2022, the wine was removed from the boots and transferred to a stainless steel tank where, always under the much more subtle influence of flower yeasts, it remained until it was bottled in July of the same year. It is a wine that, within the Florpower saga, continues the style started with the Boots 67 (More here), 77, 84 and 97. That is to say, that of an aging under veil somewhat shorter than that of the first Florpower . And it is that, as they themselves say, it is about finding the point of balance and freshness for a perfect expression of the vineyard through the biological aging process, even shorter than in the first Florpower. Just a couple of months of rest and light aging under flor in steel tanks after the common initial period of intense biological aging in traditional 600-litre Jerez casks. Be Florpower, my friend.
