Pegasus Bay. The winery is a tribute to the mountain range on New Zealand's South Island known as the Southern Alps. The vineyards are located in North Canterbury. For the Donaldson family, the goal is to produce wines that reflect the freshness, purity, vigor and cool climate of the South, while preserving the varietal character of the area. They make distinguished and vibrant wines with vivid fruit flavors that are integrated and harmonious at the same time. This Pinot Gris is harvested very late to obtain a high concentration and encourage the natural development of the noble Botrytis. It ferments and ages in barrels, with its lees, for a couple of years. A profoundly Alsatian style, with excellent acidity that generates freshness to counteract the sweetness, turning it into subtlety.
