Zarate Balado 2020Bodegas Zarate
Balado is a vineyard in front of the original winery in Zarate (now the residence of Eulogio Pomares Sr.). Its name, Balado, suggests that the farm is surrounded by a wall (which in Galician they call balo). The vineyard is really small and is planted ungrafted. The wines have a beautiful minerality, the acidity that is the brand of the house and ages really well.

A magnum of 2006 that we could try in 2013 seemed to us an incredible freshness and youth, with memories of rose petals, talcum powder and the aromatic palette that should be expected from the Albariño in Meaño. One of our favorite homeland whites ..

A wine. Luis Gutiérrez says for RobertParker that the nose reminds him of 2016 and the mouth of 2017, both great vintages of this wine. (RP94-96).
One of our clients says that Bernard Baudry is the fall (and the middle of winter) inside a bottle. The truth, we can't think of a more poetic way of saying it. This Clos Guillot is born from a special hillside vineyard, with limestone component and a top with a clay component. More gourmand than La Croix Boissée, easier to understand, in any case...
Monovarietal of Verdejo de La Seca, bush trained vineyards, with loose gravels and limestone soils. Sustainable viticulture, manual harvesting, fermentation with native yeasts in barrels and concrete as well as steel. 9 month aging. The great Rueda of Telmo Rodríguez.
The Chateneuf du Pape is a monovarietal of Grenache (an area in which the Sabóns handle themselves with great ease) from the Courthezon area (where Domaine de la Janasse is located), in the places of La Fond du Loup and La Crau . We are before the great wine of the Domaine. For aromatic intensity, cleanliness, for the shine of the wine in the glass and...
No one better than José Antonio López to describe his delicate, elegant and tricky Albariño de Rías Baixas, which he named after his granddaughter. “Claudia de Tricó is the pure expression of a singular vineyard that, like my granddaughter, who gives its name to the wine, has a very defined personality. It reveals itself with delicate features of great...
Sweet botrytis wine, based on Riesling but including other varieties such as Rieslaner of Scheurebe, depending on the vintage. PIUS is the first sweet wine to be harvested at the winery and Klaus Peter intends it to be an introduction to the sweet house wines.
