Xisto Cru Branco 2019Luis Seabra
Xisto Cru Blanco is made in specific vineyards of the Portuguese Douro trying to show the soil, the vineyard and the region. Winemaking is minimal intervention, fermentation with indigenous yeasts and barely sulfur. The process is simple, in fact, with fermentation and aging in used French oak barrels to capture the energy of the Rabigato variety.

Proibido A Capela is made with grapes from a vineyard planted half a century ago in which 10% of white varieties coexist with 90% of red varieties. These are the poor schist soils from the Upper Douro, and the challenge - because Marcio is a man of challenges - is to make a wine without electricity, because not only is it grown and harvested by hand, but...
The viticultural concept is not just a varietal concept but the important thing is the strain-soil-climate-viticultor set. A rational and respectful viticulture with the environment. In many vineyards, they use the native vegetation cover in order to obtain more concentrated grapes, better porosity of the land and greater microbiological population.
Xisto Cru Tinto comes from two specific vineyard plots and tries to show the land, the vine and the region. Non-interventionist elaboration, whole-cluster fermentation with indigenous yeasts in open wooden vats and aging in French oak barrels. Vineyards of more than 80 years with Rufete, Touriga Franca, Tinta Carvalha, Malvazia Preta, Alicante Bouchet and...
100% Malbec. Fortuna Terrae (Luck of the Earth in Latin) refers to the "lucky" vines of this small plot of the Adrianna Vineyard. Due to the freshness imparted by deep soils and height, Fortuna Terrae wines have an optimal acidity. Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels. It is convenient to enjoy this wine after a few years or even decades. 97 RP
Isabel Salgado, Fillaboa's winemaker, decides to try an experience in Ribeiro and make something of her own. She finds granite soils (or Sabregos) in the Avia valley in the Lerio area to make this Siah, her first solo wine. Treixadura, Godello and Albariño is the trilogy that Isabel mixes to get the wine, fermented in French foudre and aged in lees for 9...
