Chanzy Hautes Cotes de Beaune Blanc is a white wine produced by Maison Chanzy from Chardonnay grapes grown in their vineyards in Burgundy, France.Chanzy has less than a hectare in Hautes Cotes de Beaune, an AOC established in 1961 that covers 12 communes of the Hautes Côtes and the higher areas of 10 communes of the Côte de Beaune in Côte–d’Or. The terroir of this denomination of origin is mainly marno-calcaire, which results in an exceptionally rich and aromatic wine. The ideal sun exposure of the land, facing southeast, further enhances the characteristics of the wine.Made with Chardonnay, the winemaking process begins with a slow and gentle pressing, followed by fermentation in foudre and large barrels at a controlled temperature. The wine is aged in the same 450-liter barrels for 10 months before being transferred and continuing the aging process for another 5 months in large stainless steel tanks.
