Marko Gure is a white wine made by OXER Wines with the 60% Hondarribi Zuri Zerratia (Petit Courbu), 30% Hondarribi Zuri (Gros Courbu) and 10% Izkiriota Txikia (Petit Manseng) varieties, planted in the Kortezubi vineyard, a small town from Vizcaya near the coast, famous for its prehistoric caves, a Unesco heritage site. Clay-calcareous vineyard soil. 30% with fermentation in stainless steel tanks and the other 70%, fermented in foudres. Once the fermentation is finished, the wine ages for 7 months in contact with its lees, in foudres. The wine is bottled unfiltered. Oxer always wanted to make wines in Rioja Alavesa, but he also makes great wines under the Bizkaiako Txakolina name. In the area it finds an Atlantic climate, humid and temperate favoring a slow maturation. Rainfall between 1000-1300mm, being the most abundant rainy season in spring and winter. Shallow and not very fertile soils, slightly acidic and with a loamy clay texture, on limestone rock and marl, sloping and with good solar orientation. Always faithful to his idea of the plant cover in the vineyards, biodynamics and permaculture make his txakolis, direct, gastronomic and different wines.
