PAUL HOBBS is part of the history of California wine. He studied enology at UC Davis in 1978 and began an internship at Robert Mondavi Winery, joining the inaugural Opus One team. His advanced knowledge of viticulture and enology over the decades compelled him to discover the possibilities of Cabernet Sauvignon. He created his own winery in the Napa Valley.
Today, Hobbs is the owner and viticulturist of seven wineries around the world: Paul Hobbs and Crossbarn (Sebastopol, California), Hillick & Hobbs (Finger Lakes, New York), Viña Cobos (Mendoza, Argentina), Crocus (Cahors, France), Yacoubian-Hobbs (Vayots Dzor, Armenia) and Alvaredos-Hobbs (Galicia, Spain).
