As Olgas is a white wine produced by Joana and António Maçanita in the Douro region of Portugal. This wine comes from a parcel located in Carlão, within Cima Corgo, with century-old vines aged between 90 and 110 years, planted at an altitude of 440 meters on granite soils. This vineyard, with a limited yield of just 1200 kg/ha, is a testament to the forgotten treasures of the Douro, featuring a blend of 13 grape varieties that showcase the diversity of this historic terroir.The harvest is carried out manually, followed by an artisanal winemaking process that includes horse plowing, direct pressing of whole clusters, cold settling, and spontaneous fermentation in barrel. The wine is aged for 12 months in neutral barrels, allowing the freshness and minerality of the grapes to shine through.With a citrus-yellow color, As Olgas offers a fresh and mineral aromatic profile with subtle notes of cream. On the palate, it delivers a dense and rich attack, balanced by vibrant acidity. Perfect for pairing with baked or salt-crusted fish, seasoned white meats, and soft cheeses. With a limited production of only 333 bottles, it is recommended to serve at 10ºC and enjoy at 12ºC to fully appreciate its complexity and elegance.
