Loseco is the village wine of the Barco del Corneta project, made with grapes from La Seca (Valladolid). Its blend combines two emblematic varieties of the area: Verdejo and Viura. The Verdejo brings freshness and character, while the Viura adds elegance and structure. This blend, traditional in the region, reflects the harmony between both varieties and conveys both the personality of the terroir and its way of understanding wine. Aged on lees, 80% is done in stainless steel tanks and 20% in used 300-liter French oak barrels, and is bottled in spring. Barco del Corneta is the story of Beatriz Herranz, who in 2013 settled in the Cantarranas area, right in the heart of the Verdejo oasis in La Seca. This is how Verdejo reaches its full potential, especially when grown organically (certified as of the 2019 harvest) and respecting the environment and the vineyard. In Alcazarén, Beatriz finds vines that are more than a century old, clones that were selected not for their productivity, but for their quality. This is Verdejo with a capital "Verdejo.
