La Brigadière is a south-west facing plot on which François Raquillet has just two hectares. Its soil is of little calcareous mars with an abundance of gravel on the surface. After a manual harvest, the fermentation is carried out in 400-liter casks and the wine is aged for 12 months in Burgundy barrels, a third of which is new. It is a wine of precision. Direct, racy and mineral. More in finesse than exuberance and with the potential to improve in the bottle for at least half a dozen years.
