Chanzy Bourgogne Chardonnay Les Fortunés 2024 Magnum

Maison Chanzy Bourgogne Chardonnay Les Fortunés is a white wine made with the Chardonnay variety in the town of Bouzeron, in Burgundy. The wine comes, specifically, from the lower part of Clos de La Fortune, with ideal exposure to the Southeast and Northeast depending on the part of the plot. We are talking about a vineyard that has only 1.35 hectares planted with Chardonnay.

Chanzy performs the minimum possible treatments in the vineyard, without herbicides, plowing the soils, with green pruning and, ultimately, with a certified integrated production. We are looking at a wine with a low yield in the vineyard, meticulously made by pressing and soft fermentation at a controlled temperature to retain the character of the terroir. The wine ferments in 350-liter barrels and a barrel. And it has a subsequent aging of 10 months in those same containers.

It is an ideal wine as an aperitif, for casual consumption but also defends itself at the table, and it goes superbly with cooked pasta cheeses such as Comté.
