Chanzy Mercurey PC Clos du Roy Blanc 2022

Chanzy Mercurey Blanc is a white wine made by Maison Chanzy from Chardonnay from their vineyards in Burgundy, France.The history of Clos du Roy dates back to 1477 when the last Duke of Burgundy died and his most beloved vineyard (Clos des Ducs) passed to the crown, becoming known as Clos du Roy. In this Mercurey Premier Cru, the Chanzys have almost two hectares of gentle slope, which they pamper as if it were a garden. The grapes are selected in the vineyard, vinified in barrels after a cold pre-fermentation maceration and aged for 16 months in 450-litre Burgundian barrels, only a third of which are new.It is a wine with density, excellent structure and very fine acidity, as befits one of Mercurey's best varieties. It can be kept between 5 and 12 years after harvest.
