Balado is a vineyard in front of the original winery in Zarate (now the residence of Eulogio Pomares Sr.). Its name, Balado, suggests that the farm is surrounded by a wall (which in Galician they call balo). The vineyard is really small and is planted ungrafted. The wines have a beautiful minerality, the acidity that is the brand of the house and ages really well.

Balado is a vineyard in front of the original winery in Zarate (now the residence of Eulogio Pomares Sr.). Its name, Balado, suggests that the farm is surrounded by a wall (which in Galician they call balo). The vineyard is really small and is planted ungrafted. The wines have a beautiful minerality, the acidity that is the brand of the house and ages really well. A magnum of 2006 that we could try in 2013 seemed to us an incredible freshness and youth, with memories of rose petals, talcum powder and the aromatic palette that should be expected from the Albariño in Meaño.
