Pedraneira Albariño Magnum 2024

Pedraneira Albariño 2024 Magnum is a signature white wine crafted by Eulogio Pomares in the Val do Salnés sub-zone of Cambados (Rías Baixas). Made from approximately 40-year-old vines planted close to the Atlantic on sandy-clay soils, the grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in a 2,500?L French oak foudre, honoring traditional methods. It is aged for six months on fine lees, with no bâtonnage, undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation, and is bottled without fining or filtration in a limited edition of around 3,300 bottles.
Tasting reveals vibrant acidity and saline minerality evocative of the sea breeze, alongside notes of white peach, nectarine, and fresh citrus. It boasts a refined texture and an elegant, lasting finish. It has earned 93–94 points from critics such as James Suckling and Tim Atkin, praised for its complexity, volume, and precision.
