Gamay Blanc is the name by which Chardonnay is known in the Jura. This Domaine Pignier wine comes from a farm planted with a very high density (more than 10,000 plants per hectare) in which strict control of the yield of each plant is practiced to achieve concentration. The wine ferments in ovoid cement tanks, but with the particularity of being wider than tall. What has been a horizontal ovoid (takes geometry). According to the Pigniers, this allows for greater purity in the wine and for the terroir to prevail even more prominently.
