The plot from which it comes is on the highest part of the slope in front of the winery, on the other side of the road, and at a higher altitude than the vineyard from which La Lune comes. It is a farm that was planted in the nineties, and was partially replanted in 2014. In the early years, Mark made a Bonnezeaux (sweet botrytis wine) but his passion for dry wines made him abandon that style and during a decade ago, the wine from that parcel was incorporated into La Lune.
Now it is bottled separately to indicate the characteristics of its soil (carboniferous, not very different from La Lune Noire) and its higher extract and acidity in the wine. The yield is very low, barely 20hl / ha.
It is a wine with great potential, which will begin to drink well in its fifth year. Well preserved, at a low temperature, it can be drunk for up to 30 years. Who knows.
