The Rully basic of the Domaine with which Vincent wants to mark the style of the house. The nose shows a good varietal character and certain minerality that adds complexity. To drink young, although some well-preserved bottles for more than 10 years have surprised us very pleasantly. The Dureuil-Janthial have been in Rully since the fourteenth century, and their properties have passed from parents to children for generations. Since 1994, it is Vincent who takes the reins of the family Domaine. In the vineyard the biodynamic precepts are followed and the winemaking is the classic of Burgundy, with a barrel aging of between six and twelve months depending on the structure that each plot is capable of providing. The barrels are first or second year to complement the aging capacity of the wines. When young, the wines are rich, fatty and unctuous, and the wood is perceived both in the nose and at the end of the mouth. It will be necessary to wait a couple of years after the harvest for that wood to be integrated and a new wine with a mineral code emerges from the whole structure of the wine. However, anyone looking for a richer and more powerful wine can enjoy them in their first year perfectly.
