Vatan Clos La Neore is a fascinating Sauvignon Blanc from the Sancerre (Loire) appellation. It is located in the small village of Chavignol in Cher county. He produces very few bottles a year (approx. 4000) and today it is in the hands of his daughter who is married to one of the Foucault brothers (Clos Rougeard). Two families linked to the great wines of the Loire. Limestone soils with a multitude of fossils convey an unusual minerality to the wines. one acre. No more no less. A south facing plot located in Monts Damnés. An exceptional terroir through the incomparable richness of its soil: the conditions are optimal and allow the Sauvignon to develop remarkably.
