Domaine des Ardoisières Argile Blanc is a white wine crafted with Jacquère, Chardonnay, and Mondeuse Blanche, cultivated in the Coteaux de St Pierre de Soucy, Savoie, France.
The vines cling to the west-facing slopes, enriched by the distinctive terroir of the region. The soil, composed of marls and schists, black schists, and clayey lands, sets the foundation for the richness and complexity of the wine.
The grape blend is an intriguing fusion: 40% Jacquère, 40% Chardonnay, and a touch of 20% Mondeuse Blanche. Each variety contributes to the unique character of the wine.
The vines are cultivated using the guyot et cordon royat methods, maintaining an average yield of 40 hl/ha to ensure a balanced and quality harvest.
In the winemaking process, whole-cluster fermentation is chosen, with indigenous yeasts taking the lead. The wine matures for 9 months in vats, developing its personality and complexity.
The result is a balanced and captivating white wine that captures the essence of the terroir with every sip. Domaine des Ardoisières Argile Blanc invites you to explore the Coteaux de St Pierre de Soucy in a unique way, an experience that highlights the singularity of this wine region.
