Bodegas Gutiérrez de la Vega
Recóndita Armonía Fondillón 1987
- Vino Dulce
Recondita Armonia Fondillon 1987 is a sweet wine made with the Monastrell variety by Bodega Gutiérrez de la Vega in Alicante. First something of this assembly. The wine is kept in a 1,300-litre American oak barrel, to which new wine is added when it is aged for 10 years, and only a small amount is removed and bottled each year. Dark mahogany in color with an amber rim, the nose is extremely complex, smelling of cashews, spices, curry, aromatic herbs, balsamic, Mediterranean aromas with ginger, leather and coffee. It is an intoxicating wine, velvety, warm and intense, sharp and long, it remains in the mouth for minutes. A truly exceptional, unique wine. RP96

Felipe Gutiérrez de la Vega, a former Treasury inspector, gave life to a winery that stood out for the creation of anthological sweet muscatel wines. From the beginning, it also opted for Mediterranean red varieties such as Giró and Monastrell. His interpretation of the Fondillones is masterful. Today, under the direction of their daughter Violeta, they sign very current wines.
