Copin-Cautel Les Jeunes Pousses Brut is a sparkling wine made by Philippe and Séverine Copin-Coutel from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from their vineyards in Vandières, Champagne.
Les Jeunes Pousses is Copin-Cautel's lively and cheerful Champagne. Made with 50% Chardonnay and 25% of both Pinot, Noir and Meunier, almost 6 years of aging in stacks, dosage of 6.4 grams per liter. It is creamy, fresh and easy to drink. A Champagne to toast and to brighten up the table.
The Copin-Cautel story is a love story. Séverine Coutel and Philippe Copin met when they were 12 years old, at school, and they did not separate anymore, although the families already had a business relationship since Séverine's parents were nurserymen and had Philippe's parents as clients.
The Copins traditionally had their vineyards in Vandières, where Copin is a frequent surname, even among Champagne houses. Vandières belongs to the Vallée de la Marne, the river of the same name just 500 meters from the family winery.
Today, Philippe works the little more than 4 hectares of vines and vinifies in the cellar while Séverine takes care of the administrative and commercial part. In the vineyard they have endeavored to achieve the certification of high environmental value (level 3) and the certification of sustainable viticulture in Champagne."
