Description
65% Pinot Noir from Mareuil-sur-Ay and 35% Chardonnay from Chouilly in this Brut Selection that shows the powerful acidity of the Pinot perfectly balanced with the minerality of Chouilly. It is the most representative wine of Marc Hebrart, and it is perfect to introduce yourself to the style of the house. As in so many other cases in Champagne, Marc Hebrart emerged as a small producer when Marc Hebrart decided in the 1960s to start bottling the production of his vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne. Today it is Jean-Paul, his son, who is responsible for the family assets and for the production of the little more than 100,000 bottles that go on the market annually from the underground aging and maturation cellar. Champagne Marc Hebrart is therefore a typical petit producteur champenoise both in origin and size, dedicated to the production of wines that are both energetic and refined. The family business starts from the vineyards located in Mareuil-Sur-Ay, a Premier Cru village (with the highest classification of all Premier Crus: 99%) located so close to Ay that it is not known where one village ends and the next begins. .
