Marc Hebrart's finesse wine comes from his vineyards in Chouilly and Oiry, both Grand Cru. It is a clearly Chardonnay Champagne, in a creamy style, with abundant notes of pastries, candied fruits and the clean acidity of the best Chardonnays from the Cote des Blancs. As in so many other cases in Champagne, Marc Hebrart emerged as a small producer when Marc Hebrart decided in the 1960s to start bottling the production of his vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne. Today it is Jean-Paul, his son, who is responsible for the family patrimony and for the production of the little more than 100,000 bottles that go on the market annually from the underground aging and maturation cellar. Champagne Marc Hebrart is thus a typical petit producer champenoise both in origin and size, dedicated to producing wines that are both energetic and refined. The family business starts from the vineyards located in Mareuil-Sur-Ay, a Premier Cru town (with the highest classification of all Premier Crus: 99%) located so close to Ay that it is not known where one town ends and the next begins .
