Charles Heidsieck "Charlie" Cellared Champagne is an iconic expression that pays homage to the bold spirit of Charles-Camille Heidsieck, known as "Champagne Charlie." This cuvée is composed of 66% Chardonnay and 34% Pinot Noir. 45% comes from the 2019 vintage, and the remaining 55% from reserve wines over 30 years old. Disgorged in 2024 with a dosage of 8 g/L, the grapes belong to the Bouzy, Vertus, Avize, and Cramant vineyards. Extremely powerful and full-bodied on the attack, with a full, creamy texture that emerges to reveal the structure of a distinctly bold wine. The aromatic complexity discovered on the nose unfolds throughout the structure in all dimensions. The finish reveals bitter accents of licorice and orange with a subtle touch of wood.
