The Daily August Rosé is a rosé wine made by August Kesseler with the Pinot Noir variety in his cellar in the German Rheingau. This is a wine that comes from vines with an average age of 25 years, on slate soils, specifically Assmannshäuser Höllenberg, Eltville, Kiedrich, Lorch and Rüdesheim. A Pinot Noir rosé is unusual, and if it's from one of the Pinot Noir wizards, it's no small feat. It is radiant in the glass, with a beautiful salmon color. On the nose it has ripe fruit, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, currants. On the palate it is refreshing, crisp and fresh, with tension and length. A thirsty wine, and not only in summer.
