Rosé dos Villões is a rosé wine crafted by Companhia dos Profetas e dos Villões, under the winemaking direction of António Maçanita, using the Tinta Negra grape from vineyards in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos and São Vicente, on Madeira Island, Portugal.This expression of Tinta Negra —a grape historically tied to Madeira’s iconic wines— unveils its unexpected potential as a rosé. From 40-year-old vineyards nestled near the Atlantic, this wine delivers an intense nose with notes of crushed fresh strawberry and subtle vegetal hints. On the palate, it is vibrant and saline, with crisp acidity and remarkable persistence. Aged on lees for five months, it strikes a balance between freshness and structure, making it a perfect companion for fish, seafood, salads, as well as white meats and spicy cuisines such as Indian, Thai or Japanese.
