Albert Mann undoubtedly produces some of the best red wines in Alsace. It will be global warming, or it may be that the terroirs have been there waiting for them to be discovered, but the reality is that Pinot Noir wines surprise us with their quality, their personality and the transmission of the terroir. The Grand H comes from a Pinot Noir vineyard in Grand Cru Hengst, where the Barthelmé mostly have Pinot Gris planted. In white, the vineyard can be called Grand Cru, but not for Pinot Noir.
