Echo Lynch-Bages 2020

Echo de Lynch-Bages is a red wine made by the winery of the same name from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from their vineyards in Pauillac, Bordeaux, France. Specifically, this 2020 is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, aged for around 12 months in French oak barrels.

This is the winery's second wine, but it is a sure value year after year in Bordeaux. Deep garnet purple in color, it emerges from the glass with expressive, open notes of baked red and black cherries, plum jam and blackcurrant cordial, followed by hints of new leather, tobacco leaves and a medicinal puff. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with savory flavors, with a chewy texture and just enough freshness, finishing a bit rustic.
