Description
El Enemigo Malbec is a wine of great structure and concentration, a cut that inspires and remembers the good times of the past and brings the historical and artisanal aspects of the cultivation of the vines and their vinification. It is a variety of Malbec 89%, Petit Verdot 5%, Cabernet Franc 6%, made with vineyards in Gualtallary, planted at an altitude of approximately 1470 meters above sea level. It is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels of second and third use. Bodega Aleanna is made up of two romantics, an winemaker (Alejandro Vigil) and a historian (Adrianna Catena) who immersed themselves into time to evoke an era where European immigrants, newly arrived in Argentina, struggled to make wines as fine as those of his homelands. By 1936, Malbec and Petit Verdot were the most planted strains in Argentina and the cutting of both was considered the best in terms of elegance and guard potential. The winery is located in the foothills of Mendoza towards the south of the Andes Mountains. His wine 'The Enemy' symbolizes the battle of man against himself, the original enemy, the battle that defined each of the owners of this winery.
