Sem Vergonha 2018

Sem Vergonha is a wine from Susana Esteban and Dirk Niepoort. The two winemakers stayed in the Susana winery, in the Alentejo, to create an extreme Castelão, a wine with a Burgundy profile. Sem Vergonha is a union of challenging and off-the-chart wines. The Portuguese Castelão variety has always surprised Susana Esteban, due to its ability to produce structured wines of great complexity, while maintaining delicacy and freshness. These characteristics remind her of the style of Burgundy wines, which led her to challenge Dirk Niepoort, an old friend and acquaintance of Burgundy wines, to make a Castelão.
