- Rosi Schuster Aus den Dorfern 2019 Tinto
Aus den Dorfern means ""from the villages"" and in this case the wine is made by Hannes Schuster with Rotburger, Blaufrankisch and Sankt Laurent in Austrian Burgenland. It comes from vines with a high clay content, where the Rotburger is perfectly adapted. It is floral, light, in the mouth it is a delicacy with a hint of acidity. Almost a Galician wine. A barbecue wine.

Rosi Schuster founded the winery together with her husband Franz in the 70s of the last century. She bears her name because she was in charge of viticulture and production, while her husband was in charge of the administrative part. With the turn of the century the generational change takes place and it is her son Hannes Schuster who has held the reins alone since 2007. Hannes is someone who makes tremendous wines but cannot be more modest at the same time. He intervenes the least and does not want to make up a terroir and perfectly acclimatized varieties.
The Burgenland is a fascinating wine region that stretches from the border with Lower Austria and Carnuntum, on both sides of Lake Neusiedl; along its eastern coast to the Hungarian border. It is, therefore, the border between the two countries, within Austria. There is hardly any Riesling here, not much Grüner Veltliner either. On the contrary, it is the land of Furmint in white, but above all and above all, it is the land of reds made with the Blaufrankisch and Sankt Laurent varieties.
