Leoville Poyferré 2018 is a red wine made with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc varieties in the Saint Julien area, Bordeaux, France.
In the glass it starts with exuberant aromas of Morello cherries, plum jams and blackberry tart, giving way to nuances of cedar box, unsmoked cigars, vanilla bean and sassafras, as well as a burst of crushed stones. The palate is full-bodied, rich and decadent, with hedonic black fruits and many spicy accents with a velvety texture and perfect freshness, with a long and satisfyingly tasty finish. This is a very impressive display that is delicious from the get-go, but has the backbone to deliver a good 30+ years of pleasure. RP97
