They are generally sloping, deep, well-drained soils, with moderate fertility, which induces contained vigor and correct maturation in the vineyard.

In the village of Monovar (Alicante) the Monastrell is grown from bush vineyards, on sandy and sandy loam soils. From the Collado de Salinas, Madara, Falcones, Solaneta and Tumanes estates, this Almuvedre is manually harvested, which is then vinified in steel and concrete.
Antoine and Cécile Lequin make their Bourgogne Cote d'Or with grapes from the estate they inherited from their parents in Maranges. It is a crisp wine, in the fruit, with its tannin a little alive still. It is the only wine from the Domaine that the Lequins do not allow to age in the cellars of the family winery in Santenay.
