La Viña de Ayer is a rarity 2018 is very different from what was made in previous years. The old Garnachas from the area were harvested with an unusual freshness that combines well with the minerality characteristic of the area. Jesús Soto, Chuchi, is an old dog when it comes to wine. Before he was a cook, he was a friar and you can tell when dealing with him. He knows what is going on. He was one of the pioneers in organizing a modern and efficient distribution through his fantastic Valladolid store "Pecados Originales". That pioneering philosophy was the one that gave rise to promoting the SotoManrique wine project, which started with the Naranjas Azules rosé of impeccable invoice. A Grenache that seeks its sources in the Cebreros area (Ávila) and through the cooperative that it manages is consolidating a project of great wines.
