Bodegas Contino forma parte de uno de los grupos históricos de La Rioja, Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España (C.V.N.E). Con este vino, Contino ha conseguido salvar del olvido a una de las variedades tintas riojanas con más carácter, que aporta frescura a los vinos de La Rioja que la incluyen en sus coupages, gracias a su carácter atlántico. En la finca de San Gregorio Grande la bodega cuenta con 3,7 ha de Graciano plantado en dos zonas diferentes en 1979 y 1989. Sin duda alguna, uno de los mejores monovarietales de Graciano de La Rioja.
