It is a single-varietal Tempranillo from a selection of 20- to 30-year-old vineyards located in the high-altitude areas of Rioja Alavesa, on clay-limestone soils. Aged for 12 months in used French and American oak barrels, the wine is rounded out without masking the grape's distinctive character.
