"Tadeo is the flagship wine of Cortijo Los Aguilares. With a finesse, elegance, and freshness unexpected in a red wine from Málaga. 100% Petit Verdor, destemmed and fermented in concrete tanks and used barrels. Aged for 14 months in used French oak barrels. It is a long and intense wine, with great aging potential, yet very enjoyable now. Cortijo Los Aguilares is a family-run winery located in an exceptional wine-growing region, the Serranía de Ronda (Málaga), 5 km from Ronda. The estate is an 800-hectare holm oak forest, of which 25 hectares are dedicated to vine cultivation. The rest is an imposing landscape of centuries-old holm oaks and scrubland, creating a perfect environment for the vineyard. At over 900 meters above sea level and in an incomparable setting, with the Sierra de las Nieves and Sierra de Grazalema mountain ranges in the background, a very special microclimate is generated that..." It allows for the cultivation of a wide variety of grapes. They cultivate a diverse range of varieties – Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo, Garnacha, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Graciano. Planted between 1999 and 2014 and spread across four plots, these varieties have adapted perfectly to the local terroir, resulting in a unique expression in each case.They work exclusively with grapes from their own vineyard, which have been certified organic by the CAAE for many years. Most vineyard work is done by hand, including the harvest, and strict yield control is in place to ensure the highest quality grapes.
