Cyprien Arlaud presents a Hautes Cotes de Nuits made with grapes from a farm on the top of the hillside on which the Grand Cru de Vosne sits. If you put yourself at the top of the most mythical vineyard in Vosne, and follow everything up for about 300 meters, you arrive at the estate in question. Biodynamics is practiced on the estate and certification is expected soon. Obviously, we are not going to sell Romanée-Conti with this humble Hautes Cotes de Nuits, but the reality is that the wine is drunk above the pedigree that advertises in the bottle, and we love that. Cyprien Arlaud is very aware of the problem of dying of success that is affecting Burgundy. The family property has the size it has, the price of the vineyard is very high and small producers do not really have the ability to buy new vines to increase the production of the Domaine and thus solve a demand that continues to grow.
