Maçanita Douro Reserva 2023

Maçanita Reserva Tinto is a red wine produced by brothers and winemakers Joana and António Maçanita in the Douro region of Portugal. This wine is the result of more than 20 years of shared experience between the two, reflecting their collaboration in more than 18 different wineries.Made from 40% Sousão grapes, 40% Touriga Nacional and 20% from a blend of traditional Douro grapes, this wine is vinified from hand-harvested grapes that undergo cold pre-maceration. Fermentation is spontaneous and takes place with a 26-day cuvaison, followed by 18 months of aging in neutral French oak barrels.Deep violet in color, Maçanita Reserva Tinto offers a concentrated aroma of red fruits and round tannins. On the palate, the finish is intense and persistent, showing the depth and character of the wine. It is ideal to accompany white meat dishes. and red wines, both in traditional and modern cuisine. It is recommended to store at 12ºC and serve at 16ºC, but can be enjoyed at 18ºC to fully appreciate its complexity.
