"Clos Ibai Garnacha Tinta is a red wine made by Dani Frias in Clos Ibai using Garnacha Tinta from a very old vineyard, more than 90 years old and barely one hectare in area. The vineyard is located in the Najerilla Valley, in the heart of Rioja Alta , at an altitude of about 550 meters and has a clay-ferrous soil. The vineyard is in organic conversion. It was harvested manually and fermented in stainless steel, where it was also aged for 10 months, after which it was bottled. of a wine of great freshness due to the altitude, and substance thanks to the age of the vineyard.A fluid wine but with character.Make wines that are drunk with joy. That is the principle of Clos Ibai, in the area of ??Baños de Ebro. But, in the area, there are very old vineyards, naturally protected, as if they were Burgundian clos, which are being lost due to lack of attention and profitability. Those clos are heritage, and Clos Ibai decides to buy them, rent them and, ultimately, give them a present and a future. They grow them organically, with the purpose of certifying them (some already are), without pretending to be a great winery. It will always be a small project. A project to bottle terroir wines, microvinifications with character and personality."
