Description
Ocho Dos Dos is born in a vineyard located in the famous “Golden Diamond” of the Ribera del Duero, as Jancis Robinson, MW named it. An area known for its complex soils and climate suitable for producing high-quality grapes, which winemakers can turn into highly concentrated and structured wines. The farm is located at 822 m, one of the highest elevations in that appellation, exposed to a harsh continental climate that naturally produces low yields. Planted exclusively with Tempranillo that are aged in French and American oak barrels for 9 months. Pagos de Anguix is the project in Ribera del Duero by Juve & Camps, the great reference house within the cava appeal. Synonymous with tradition and quality. Its Family Reserve continues year after year to lead the most commercial quality market. Its DNA is the ecological reconversion of its vineyards and low-yield viticultural practices. 45 hectares of completely organic vineyard located between Anguix and Olmedillo de Roa, north of the Ribera del Duero in Burgos. The climate is temperate and the nights are very cold, creating an environment conducive to quality viticulture that is friendly to the environment. The soils are shallow, sandy, with high limestone and iron content. José Manuel Perez Ovéjas (Calogy Domain) is the one who has the oenological responsibility.
