"Taló is a red wine made by Cantine San Marzano in the Puglia region, Italy, with the Primitivo de Manduria variety. The production area is 100 meters above sea level, in a Mediterranean climate, benefiting from clay soils on rocky bottoms. The wine is aged for 6 months in French and American oak barrels and is sweet, spicy but very representative of the variety and the area.The story of San Marzano is not very different from many stories of agriculture or grape growing: an attempt to escape poverty. Poverty of arid lands, punished by the summer sun in this case and of a value of production that does not justify the work of the land.
