Sangarida Mencía 2023

Sangarida Mencía 2023 is a fresh and expressive red wine from century-old Mencía vines in the mountainous slopes of Bierzo. Fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel and vinified without oak aging, it preserves its vibrant fruit and spice character. In the glass, it shows a bright cherry color and intense aromas of sour cherry, red currant, raspberry, minerality, crushed stone, and subtle hints of clove and pepper. The palate is well-balanced, with soft tannins, bright acidity, pronounced minerality, and a smooth, persistent finish. It's a versatile, everyday wine, praised by critics at around 90–91 points and with an average price near €12.
