Description

Ribote, a native variety with very old vines, is known locally as "our Burgundy." It was a thrill both to find the vines of this variety and to see the final wine. The wine ferments for a couple of months in old French oak barrels.

Edra is an exciting project, located in La Hoya de Huesca, in the heart of the Aragonese foothills, in the Ayerbe area. It has been led by Alex Ascaso since 1999. Since then, the winery's evolution and the leap they have made toward fresher, lighter wines and unknown varieties have been striking.
