Suertes del Marqués La Solana 2022

Monovarietal from Listán Negro, one of the great autochthonous varieties of the Canaries, and perhaps one of the finest and most complex. La Solana comes from the homonymous farm of just two hectares with Northeast exposure, located about 500 meters above sea level. The estate was planted more than 80 years ago on a soil of volcanic bedrock, and this gives the wine a great minerality. The grape receives a cold maceration prior to fermentation, and the fermentation itself is finished in a 500-liter oak barrel, after which the lees are batched to gain creaminess until the malolactic finish. It is followed by aging in barrels for further refining. The wine seduces us by its fruitiness that is accompanied by an excellent minerality that our subconscious associates with volcanic soils. It is fresh, tasty, and deliciously subtle.
