Alejandro Vigil's wine, La Reina – El Reventón, is made in Spain. His Argentine winery, Gran Enemigo, was ranked among the top 10 in the world by the World's Best Vineyards. He was chosen among the 100 best winemakers in the world by The Drinks Business. El Gran Enemigo Single Vineyard Gualtallary 2019 earned 100 points from James Suckling and Robert Parker, among other accolades. This was also the market debut of his Spanish wines, La Reina, from the Sierra de Gredos, made with a Garnacha from the Alberche Valley. This project has been in the making for over seven years, and Alejandro spent many years visiting the Sierra de Gredos to get to know the region, its people, and taste wines. This limited-production wine is the first of five that Alejandro has produced in Spain under the name El Reventón. A single-vineyard wine with Garnacha vines over 40 years old planted in a 6.2 hectare vineyard at an altitude of 860 meters. Granite and sandy soil, organically grown. 70% of the grapes are destemmed and vinified without oak. Aged for 11 months in concrete tanks. Complex, deep, and fresh. RP 92+
