Marc Delienne makes his Avalanche de Printemps from the Gamay variety from his Les Chaffangeons estate, in Fleurie, Beaujolais, France.Marc sold his IT company and, in 2015, he set up shop at Chateau de L'Abbaye to biodynamically make some of the most vibrant wines in all of Fleurie and, we would say, all of Beaujolais.Small yields, production in concrete, aging in foudres, give rise to wines that achieve great precision despite having minimal additions of sulfur. It is incredible to find that aromatic cleanliness in wines made in a minimally interventionist way.This Printemps Avalanche couldn't be better named, as it is a true spring avalanche in the cup. A crisp fruit wine.
